Linguistique et théorie du langage, généricité des concepts et axiomatisation des domaines

Didier Samain

pp. 27-43

The paper tries to define the exact meaning of what Bühler names the theory of language and emphasizes its connexion with the notion of crisis as the author brings it up as soon as 1927. Actually, the Sprachtheorie must be considered as an encyclopaedia of language sciences in so far as its aim is to organize knowledges and disciplines. As the Organonmodell shows it, Bühler always understands theses knowledges as complementary. So, though the specificity of Buhler’s theories cannot be denied, their actual originality lies rather in their axiomatic orientation, for such a metadiscursive relationship to knowledges, every of which finds so its Systemstelle in the axiomatic, cannot be found in similar authors. We can then find in Bühler yet well developed thinkings about the notion of model and the resulting epistemo-logical consequences.
