As one of Kurt Goldstein's oldest students and collaborators, I consider it an honor as well as my duty to make a modest contribution to this volume published in his memory. I welcome the opportunity to express my deep gratitude to this outstanding man at whose home—first in Frankfurt, and later in Berlin—I had the privilege of being warmly received whenever I called.
