(1963) Heidegger, Den Haag, Nijhoff.
With the advent of modern times, the conception of both thought and Being is profoundly influenced once more by the conception of truth.1 Truth for Descartes is more than simply conformity between knower and known, it is a known conformity, sc. certitude. The Discourse on Method makes this abundantly clear. How this triggers a philosophy of subject-ism we can see best, perhaps, by formulating three propositions.
