Liz Eckermann

pp. 171-184

In his foreword to an issues paper on Researching Women's Health for the Australian Commonwealth Department of Health, Housing and Community Services, Brian Howe, Minister for that department, argued that "the principles set out in the National Women's Health Policy are sound', and he claimed that he is "confident that research undertaken in line with (the Policy's recommendations) ... will significantly increase our understanding of the social and environmental factors which affect women's health' (Kane, 1991).
