(1990) Conflict: readings in management and resolution, Basingstoke, Palgrave Macmillan.

Introduction

John Burton, Frank Dukes

pp. 1-11

The purpose of this collection of essays, along with the three other books in this Conflict Series, is to provide the student, the practitioner and the general reader with a start-up library on this new subject, conflict and its resolution. We have sought to cover the subject fully and have separated the contribution into six parts: Beginnings; Crisis; Analysis; Applications; Research; and Political Implications.
